not many photos today...but oh the stories i have to tell!

sooo...the surprise is....rob and i have decided to take a 3 day motorbike tour through vietnam...well some of vietnam anyway!
as you know we arrived in da lat yesterday...found our hotel...ha ha...how about a hostel where the description was so far off base that we thought we were in the wrong place!...anyway....no english speaking 'concierge'...hell...no 'concierge' at all!  after taking our lovely walk and deciding to take the motorbike tour....having the time of our lives...we decided to our 'easy riders' pick us up the next morning (today) at 8:30...
well....i told rob i felt like a rotisserie chicken...rolling from tummy to side...side to back...back to other side and repeat...the bed was as comfy as a thick piece of plywood...
well....8:30 arrived...we covered our bags in plastic and took off for the country!
first stop was a lovely old train station and then to another gorgeous temple with meditation gardens and monks and chanting...oh my....

and then....OMG!!!...coffee plantations that we stole into...admiring the unripened berries....picking rambutan fruit from a local farmer's tree...shhhhh....riding in the streets along side the water buffalo...pot belly pigs wandering in and out of our path along with the many chickens, dogs and yes....children!
we stopped at a local cafe for a cup of white coffee....if you have not had 'vietnamese white coffee'...you have not lived!  we sipped our heavenly brew and relaxed in a hammock....
move over Starbuck's...you have met your match!
back on the motorbikes with so many new experiences under my belt...watching a family harvest their rice, peering over a bridge to be shocked an amazed at the floating village, being pelted by rain....more than once....and ending up at a family owned hotel for a hot shower....we are heading out to dinner....noodles....
best day ever....again!
thanks for coming along on this amazing adventure....i will try to do better with the photos tomorrow...but really?  no promises!
