on the road again....the last day on the motor bike....

well.....rob and i are completely saddle sore...in a good way?  we took an all day bicycle tour in hoi an....then in da lat we took an all day motorbike tour....that is what convinced us that the way to see this country was on a bike....so then we were on the motorbike for 3 more days....wowza...i was getting VERY wiggly at the end....
but...we experienced the country in a dreamlike fashion....
yesterday was alot of traveling and not much stopping...we needed to get back to da lat and get a hotel....

this is how pepper grows....it is a vine that climbs up another tree...or a cement pillar...but mostly another tree...these turn black when dried.  i tasted one and yep...it is pepper all right!

and this is how they collect rubber from the rubber trees....they make a slice in the bark and let it drain into the bowl....move overModpodge...we have got a new adhesive....

these bananas were growing in amongst the rubber trees...not a very happy tree, but you can see how they grow.

and our last stop was this gorgeous....and powerful waterfall....
we made a couple stops for coffee....if i have not told you yet....the coffee here is the best coffee i have ever had in my life!  we order 'coffee white' which has a bit of condensed milk in the bottom of the glass...or cup....and you stir and sip....it is thick and sweet....i adore it!

we are headed to the airport soon....off to saigon...off to see angkor wat...of course...i will drag you along...if you like!
