i am not alone

it is reassuring to know that i am not alone. i do realize, finally, that i can have help in my life if i allow it. so what if the clothes are not folded the way i fold them, or the dishes washed the way i wash them. i have learned that if i do too much...others cannot do what they need to do to grow. protecting others from their mistakes of life with my 'wonderful' ideas will stunt their growth. i am learning, the hard way, that everyone must act upon their own ideas..facing the consequences that follow....good and bad. in trying to protect...i have actually robbed others of their own victories. so for today...i am sharing my delicious life with others...and that allows others to share with me!!

  1. I know you are going to have a wonderful day!! I have been guilty of the same thing in the past. Took a lot of therapy to realize it was not "helping" but "hurting". Great insight sweetie! Love, Jamie

  2. It seems like I was just here and since I've been gone you have created so many lovely posts and paintings. What a conscious and productive life you are living and I find it so impressive and unusual and yet it should be the way all of us live. You have so much insight to yourself and your work. It confirms I still feel a bit lost in my own work, even my own life. My thought processes are so simple and bland. You will be another that gets me thinking and seeing and waking up I predict. You have an impact on this world my dear lady!

  6. What a challenge it is...and I try to keep that philosophy in my mind...if I keep doing 100% what will be left for others to do? If only they would do their share of the work on MY timeline!!!! Ah....why does wisdom have to come with age...I'd rather just have the wisdom!!! Loving you!

This is a profound insight you have had. It is one that I am also learning the hard way.

Very well said, and a beautiful piece. I love the conclusion you reached after talking about the ramifications of placing a second figure in your work.
