and the glue is not even dry yet!!!

this is one of the pieces that was on my to do list yesterday....i finished it this morning but the glue is not even dry!  this is a Guest Tree for a wedding.  how fun is that?  each guest will sign the tree with their fingerprint and then their name by that 'Leaf'...i love this idea!
a couple colors of green stamp pads will be by the Guest Tree along with some alcohol packets for ink removal....the bride to be has not seen it yet....so keep your fingers crossed.  the tree is sewn on velum and then on watercolor paper.  the heart with their names in it is layered with a piece of sewing pattern and i edged the piece with a strip of sewing pattern on each side.  the frame is painted black.
been up since dark o'clock so it is time to rest for a minute....then off to make another commissioned piece for an artist friend of mine.
i think commission work is difficult but it does not stop me from taking the jobs, right?  have a great thursday!
