wow....what a day!

a beautiful walk around Hoi An last night...a Vietnamese celebration, so lots going on...street food, street games and people watching galore!

there was a 3 ton rock that reminded me of our 'pour painting'...just gorgeous!

then up early this morning...grabbed a cup of coffee and caught a taxi into Hoi An....again....for an ALL day bicycle tour...OMG!  we took a boat to a small island...riding a bike through rice fields,(i fell into a rice field...of course...right?)  skirting down narrow streets lined with drying rice...water buffalo a stone's throw away!  Bamboo bridges to cross with our bicycles....

we visited a few homes of the local people on the very small island,  weavers, boat makers, noodle makers, rice wine makers....(they start with the rice, cook the rice, ferment with yeast, soak, drain, feed the pigs the rice, use the pig poo to create the gas to produce to fire to cook the rice....and it starts all over again...brilliant!) and local artisans...
 i even got to navigate a round basket boat.....by myself!   
we came home to the Hippie House hot and sweaty....time to shower and put our feet up....
